The city has a flair for fair and congress activities. Milan has structures of primary importance at its disposal, not to mention operators with a consolidated professional experience in the sector, for hosting large international and important congresses and corporate conventions. Milan is the location of one of the largest fair systems in Europe which comprises Fiera Milano or Milan Fair (new Polo Fieristico di Milan and Fieramilanocity that together offer a space of more than 560,000m2), as well as the 13,000m2 Parco Esposizioni di Novegro (Novegro Exposition Park). Every year, more than 70 events are hosted in the exposition spaces of Fieramilanocity and Fieramilano with approximately 4 million visitors per year bringing about four billion euros to the city. Milano Convention Centre also plays an important part in hosting fairs and congresses as it is able to accommodate up to 25 thousand people. There are also many large hotels that have congress centres, perfectly equipped with all the most modern technologies. Furthermore, in 2011 Milan will have the largest congress centre in Europe in the new CityLife district. The structure will have the capacity of 18 thousand places in total with a meeting room for 4500 people, an auditorium that will hold 1500 people and about 70 meeting rooms with the capacity to hold 20 to 2000 people.
