Sport facilities

The right location for every sport. The city of Milan offers a wide panorama of facilities suitable for an extensive number of disciplines, aimed both to those who simply want to learn more about the sport and to those who want to train at a competitive level.

The Palalido in piazza Stuparich and the Ippodromo di San Siro: just the names of these legendary locations evoke the thrills and sentiments of those who enjoy being the protagonists of exertion and recreation.

Every week more than 200 thousand citizens train at a professional or amateur level in the 5000 Milanese sports clubs.

Milan can also boast the ‘La Scala of football’ which is the Stadio Meazza at San Siro, the setting for the Milan and Inter derbies and an international showcase for the beloved game. The centre of Milan hosts the Civic Arena, one of the oldest structures in Milan for all sports lovers. For years it has been part of the success and prestige of football and major athletics and has hosted sports events and performances of all kinds.

The historic Vigorelli Velodrome Maspes - which, especially in the '50s and' 60s, was the theatre of memorable challenges between the champions of the track - also has a merited place in the history of cycling.
